I have been using the Prodigy 7.1 for several years and it's been pretty stable, but I'm having problems with software (such as J River Media Center, Xlutop Chainer) that only uses the 32 bit versions of the ASIO driver. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, and I can't force Device Manager to install the 32 bit version of the ASIO driver--it just tells me the best version is already installed (meaning the 64 bit version).
How can I force Windows to install the 32 bit version of ASIO driver so those software will recognize it? When I tried to point Device Manager to the 32 bit driver's folder, Windows won't install it, saying it cannot find compatible driver, and would only recognize the 64 bit driver. Is there a way to add the 32 bit driver to the registry manually?
I have done many uninstall/install already and it just won't install the 32 bit ASIO driver.
