prodigy cube not working with hp elitebook6930p

I used my CUBE with several other laptops with no problems but this is the second HP EliteBook6930p I'm trying (first had winXP installed) with the same outcome: the system recognizes the device but I hear nothing or static when charger is plugged in. I tried switching the jumper cap (http://audiotrack.net/en/support/1062 ) but nothing's changed.

Would be gratefull for some advice.

Please remove the USB devices you are using in your laptop, and then please try to use it.
If you don't have a problem in other laptop, we think there are problems USB port you are using.
